On the 15th of Sept 2008 Jeevan Dhara made its foray into the field of de addiction this was due to the rampant substance abuse found in the slums of Chita Camp. Being aware of the problems faced by the addicts family and their inability to help the addict.

Jeevan Dhara started its first de addiction center for street based drug addicts in Colaba in 2008.

Having observed our work first hand with street based addicts and the high recovery rate a panel of decision makers from Don Bosco Provincial House granted us use of their premises at Lonavla where we have been for the past four years. Of the 690 street based drug/alcohol addicts who were admitted, we can boast of around 270 inmates who have recovered and are leading a normal life.
